Congratulations to Central High School!

On September 29th 2015, Central High School was recognized by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School.  Central was one of 285 public and 50 private schools to be recognized as a Blue Ribbon School and only one of 35 public high schools in the nation to receive this award. This is the highest award a school can earn for exemplary academic excellence. Central High School is the first ever Shenandoah County Public School to ever receive this prestigious recognition.

Congratulations to the CHS Theatre for placing 2nd at the Regional Competition! With their performance, they have qualified for the State Competition in Charlottesville on December 7th.

Congratulations to the CHS Boys Cross Country
Team. State Runner up in Div. 2A

Central High School, is proud to announce that Central’s FFA Livestock Judging Team finished in first place at the Big E, earning them the National Big E Championship.

Congratulations to Heather S. Miller and Megan L. Smith for receiving a grant from Dominion Power in the amount of $1,500. The grant was awarded for their proposal, "Workplace Readiness Through Positive Environmental Impacts".
