Tutoring image
After School Tutoring
After school tutoring is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 in the Central High School library. Transportation will be provided on Wednesdays only.
Bus Routes and Schedule

Summer Health Science Academy for high school students who will be in 10th or 11th grade in the fall of 2017 and are interested in exploring the health professions. Contact the School counseling Center for details.

FFA meats team
FFA Meat Judging team won the state contest at Virginia Tech. Students will compete in the National FFA Convention in Kansas City in October and will have the opportunity to compete in Denver next January.

Team members were: Jacob Coffey who placed 4th overall; Kaitlin Mantz who placed 3rd overall and Jenna Kibler who was high individual in the state contest.

 Fitness mentorship
In early February, Megan Smith (Special Education teacher at Central High School) and Teresa Martilik (Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine teacher at Central) , assisted by Central High students, presented information about their Fitness Mentorship at a national Special Olympics Conference in South Carolina.
Megan and Teresa have collaborated to create the Fitness Mentorship program at Central High School in Woodstock, VA.  Students enrolled in the Sports Medicine class mentor Central students who receive special education services. 



Central High School has received 2016 VIP Award from the VA Department of Education.
