Beginning on Tuesday March 29th, the School Counseling Center, along with National Honor Society and SILC students, will be offering free tutoring sessions for any students who need extra help in any of their classes. Students will also have the opportunity to have a quiet study space to do work if they so desire. This will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 in the CHS Library. ​Transportation will not be provided. ​Students must ​provide their own transportation​ home.

Fee is $15.00
Deadline to register for the October 1 SAT held at CHS is September 1, 2016

Central High School is among the schools to be recognized as a Blue Star School for the 2015-2016 academic year.
To receive this recognition a school, testing more than ten students using the WISE Financial Literacy exam, must have achieved a 80% passing rate on this Financial Literacy Certification Test and have EITHER a majority of students on a given grade level take the Test OR have the students who took it achieve an average score of 85% or higher. 

Central High School has been honored for the ninth consecutive year as a Virginia Naturally School. 

Central FFA Earns National Awards and Three Star Rating
The Central FFA Chapter earned the highest rating a chapter can receive at the National level.
Congratulations to individual award winners: Samuel Rhodes, Maranda McDonald, Jenna Kibler, and John-Robert Helsley.
